Beaker & Gray

Wynwood hotspot Beaker & Gray by chef/owner Brian Nasajon and bar director/owner Ben Potts offers one of the most popular brunch experiences in the burgeoning arts district every Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM until 4 PM. In celebration of what most people will make an extra-long weekend, Beaker & Gray will be extending its weekend brunch to also offer it on Friday, July 5 from 11 AM until 4 PM. The playful, globally-inspired menu features a variety of items sure to please everyone including the Cheeseburger Hash with bacon, Aji Amarillo, and banana pepper ($14); Eggs Benedict with wild mushroom and queso fresco on sourdough ($16); Sticky Buns with bourbon caramel, pecans, topped with vanilla ice cream ($12); Sourdough French Toast encrusted in crispy puffed rice batter and served with bacon maple syrup and leche condensada ($13); and $5 Sides of Coffee Glazed Bacon; Maduros; and Home Fries. Wash it all down with bottomless mimosas for $30 or with one of Ben Potts’ unique brunch cocktails like That’s All, Folks made with Oxley gin, carrot, ginger, and cilantro ($13); Marvin the Martian with Casa Noble Blanco tequila, cucumber, orgeat and coffee ($12); or Mai Tai Fighter with Miami Club rum, Smith & Cross, chai and acid-adjusted pineapple ($12). Beaker & Gray is located at 2637 North Miami Avenue in Wynwood. The Commodore

In addition to the daily Happy Hour, The Commodore – Coconut Grove’s trendy craft cocktail bar will be offering “4 Classics for the Fourth” for only $7 from 5 PM to close on July 4th: Sazerac – rye, sugar, Peychaud’s bitters and absinthe rinse; Tom Collins – gin, lemon, sugar and soda; Airmail – rum, lemon, honey and prosecco; and of course an Old Fashioned – bourbon, Amaro Nonino, vanilla, and simple syrup. Happy Hour bites ($7-$9) are available from 5-7PM and include ahi tuna tacos; a trio of spreads with tzatziki, hummus, spinach, and pita chips; empanadas with ground beef, chimichurri, and smoked tomato salsa; and arancini with tomato jam, grana padano, and orange zest. Isabelle’s Grill Room & Garden
