DOLCE ITALIAN – MIAMI BEACH HOTSPOT WINS BRAVO’S BEST NEW RESTAURANT

AND CELEBRATES WITH A SPECIAL TASTING MENU

LDV Hospitality’s Dolce Italian served up a victory last night on the season finale of Bravo’s culinary competition series Best New Restaurant. The modern Italian concept went head to head with fellow Italian restaurant, L’Apicio, serving a group of 50 VIP diners.

LDV Hospitality founder John Meadow was excited to have his restaurant team participate in the show and obviously thrilled with the outcome.  According to Meadow, "What was so special about the premise of the show, is that unlike the vast majority of television shows and media awareness centered solely around the chefs of restaurants, Best New Restaurant showcases the human reality that the restaurant business really is a group effort, and therefor truly portrays the emotional ups and downs of the restaurant professionals' experience.  To just have been a part of that was exciting unto itself, to have won the competition and show America what our Dolce Italian team and entire LDV family is all about is truly rewarding and a testament to the character, professionalism, and most of all the passion of all of our employees in the trenches and managers and chefs that lead them, and they deserve the recognition."

Dolce will be celebrating their victory in the restaurant with a special tasting menu featuring the dishes inspired by the show that made judges Tom Colicchio, Jeffrey Zurofsky and Maggie Nemser swoon.   The prix fixe menu is priced at $65 per person exclusive of tax and gratuity is available immediately and through May 31.

Dolce Italian beat out 15 other contenders from across the United States to lay claim to the prize, winning the hearts – and appetites – of viewers and the show’s judges in the process.  Hosted by chef and restauranteur Tom Colicchio, the series pitted 16 restaurants from New York, Los Angeles, Miami and Austin against one another with each being judged on not only the dishes they served, but also everything from décor to hospitality to overall concept. In the end, Dolce took home the title as well as an editorial feature in Bon Appétit, a featured spot at America’s number one global food festival, Vegas Uncork’d by Bon Appétit 2015, and $100,000.
